Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of HanNote, provided by AlphaMatch Inc. They take effect on 20 September 2026.
1. Scope
These terms set out the rights and duties between AlphaMatch Inc. ("we") and you in connection with the HanNote application and the www.hannote.com website (the "Service").
2. Definitions
- Member — someone who has accepted these terms and created an account.
- Subscription — a paid agreement to use premium features for a set period.
- Vault — the store of notes and files kept on your own device.
3. Changes to these terms
These terms take effect once posted in the Service. We may change them within the limits of applicable law, and will announce changes on the website at least 7 days before they apply — 30 days for changes that disadvantage members. If you do not object within that period, you are taken to have accepted the change.
4. Accounts
You sign up with an email address and a password. You are responsible for keeping your account details safe, and you may not lend, share or sell your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else has used it.
You can close your account at any time. Doing so cancels your subscription immediately and deletes your account details, except payment and transaction records that we are required to keep under Korean commerce law for a set period.
5. What the Service does
The core features of HanNote are free. A paid subscription adds the features listed on the plan. The notes and files you write stay in the vault on your own device; we do not upload or read them. See the Privacy Policy for detail.
6. Subscriptions and payment
- Prices and billing periods are those shown on the pricing page; prices include VAT.
- Recurring payments are charged automatically to your registered payment method at the start of each period.
- Where a free trial is offered, the first charge is made on the day the trial ends. Cancel before then and nothing is charged.
- Payment and tax are handled by Paddle.com Market Ltd, which acts as the Merchant of Record for the sale: Paddle takes the payment, issues the invoice and holds your card details. We never store card numbers.
- If a payment fails it is retried over several days; if it still fails the subscription may end.
- We give 30 days' notice before a price change, and periods already paid for keep the old price.
7. Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel at any time from the website. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for, after which the subscription ends and nothing further is charged. Withdrawal and refunds follow our Refund Policy.
8. Your obligations
- Do not use another person's account or payment method.
- Do not reverse-engineer the Service, or copy, distribute or resell it without permission.
- Do not place an unreasonable load on our systems or interfere with normal operation.
- Do not use the Service for unlawful purposes.
9. Intellectual property
Rights in the Service — its software, design and documentation — belong to us. Rights in the notes and files you create belong to you; we claim nothing in them.
10. Interruptions
We may pause the Service for maintenance or other unavoidable reasons, and will give notice when we can. If a paid feature is unavailable because of something we are responsible for, we will extend your period by the same length or refund the corresponding amount.
11. Limits of liability
Because HanNote keeps your data on your own device, we cannot recover data lost when a device is lost, damaged or reset, or when a vault password is forgotten. Please back up anything important. We are not liable for loss arising from causes outside our responsibility, such as force majeure or your own acts.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. We will try to resolve any dispute in good faith; failing that, either party may bring proceedings in the court having jurisdiction under the Korean Civil Procedure Act.
