Refund Policy
How withdrawal and refunds work for HanNote subscriptions, under the Korean Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce. Subscription payments are handled by Paddle.com Market Ltd as Merchant of Record, so refunds are made through Paddle.
Free trial
Nothing is charged during a free trial. The first payment is taken on the day the trial ends, so cancel in Manage subscription before then if you do not want to continue.
Within 7 days of payment — full refund
If it is within 7 days of the charge and you have not made substantial use of the paid features, we refund in full. Where a digital service has largely been used already, the rules below apply instead.
More than 7 days after payment
- Monthly plans — a period already under way is not normally refunded. Cancel and you keep access to the end of that period; nothing is charged afterwards.
- Annual plans — we refund the unused part pro rata. The time already used is settled at the monthly rate, and payment processing fees may be deducted.
When the fault is ours
If a paid feature was unavailable because of something we are responsible for, we extend your period by the same length or refund that amount. The time limits above do not apply in that case.
What is not refunded
- Data lost for reasons outside our responsibility, such as a device problem or a forgotten vault password
- Accounts restricted for breaking the Terms of Service
- Requests concerning the free features
How to ask
